The accident happened on Somerset Drive in Yonkers on Tuesday afternoon.
The awning collapsed, pinning the man by the leg, authorities said.
Yonkers Fire Department responded and extricated him. He was taken to the hospital with leg and possibly other injuries. There was no immediate word on his condition.
The house sustained some damage when the awning gave way.
