Domino Sugar factory turning into affordable housing

Plans to convert a Brooklyn landmark into affordable housing are moving forward.

Two Trees Management agreed to revise its plan for the Domino Sugar factory site in Williamsburg to include 700 apartments for low to middle income residents, 40 more than its previous plan.

The city hall's demand for more affordable units had threatened to derail the project.

Work on the site will begin in December.
