Just before 11 a.m. on April 19, police received a call about a robbery at an apartment building. The victim, 54, who wanted to remain anonymous because of safety concerns, told police that two men with guns entered the office and demanded cash.
She said she told them, "I have some money that I was going to the bank and deposit, and I could give you that and some extra cash I keep with me."
The suspect, according to the North Bergen Police Department on Tuesday, was last seen wearing a red T-shirt. He is about 30, Hispanic, 5 feet 9 inches tall and between 151-175 pounds, with black hair and a light complexion.
The suspects also forced the victim into her residence, which is next to the office, and tied her up. "They took laces from my sneakers and they tied ... my feet and my hands," she said.
Then they took about $3,000 to $4,000 and fled north on Kennedy Boulevard in a dark-colored, new model Honda Accord, according to the NBPD.
The men took the hard drive for the surveillance cameras with them, but police said they left fingerprints behind.
