AccuWeather: Sun returns after blizzard buries Tri-State area

NEW YORK (WABC) -- AccuWeather says Sunday will be a good day for digging out after more than two feet of snow fell in Central Park on Saturday.



The snowfall amount puts this storm in second place for the most snowfall in New York City since records started being kept in 1869.

Here's a look at the AccuWeather forecast:



SUNDAY: Partly sunny with a high in the mid-30s.



MONDAY: Mostly sunny with a high in the mid-30s.



TUESDAY: Showers possible in the afternoon. High in the low 40s.



WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy with temperatures approaching 40.



THURSDAY: Sun to clouds. Highs in the mid-30s.



FRIDAY: Partly sunny with a high in the upper 30s.
