2015 Long Island Marathon coming in May!
NEW YORK -- For over four decades now, people from all over the Tri-State area and the U.S. have joined in the festivities of Long Island Marathon Weekend.
It began as one race, but grew into many - a slate so complete that the whole family can run. Anyone can take part, no matter their experience or athletic ability.
This year, all of the Long Island Marathon Weekend events take place in the area of Eisehower Park in East Meadow and the Mitchel Athletic Complex, located next door in Uniondale.
On Saturday, May 2, 1 Milers, and 5K runners will start on Charles Lindbergh Blvd and finish on the 1998 Goodwill Games world-record-setting track inside the Mitchel Athletic Complex.
Sunday, May 3, Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K Participants star together on Charles Lindbergh Blvd. behind the famed Nassau Coliseum and finish together inside Eisenhower Park before spending the afternoon partying at the Finish Line Festival featuring live music and refreshments.
