Man sexually assaulting women in Queens

Four attacks in last two months
JAMAICA Police are hoping to catch the suspect before he strikes again.

Eyewitness News reporter Jen Maxfield has more.

The first attack happened in early November on 116th Avenue and Sutphin Boulevard. The victim in that case was 15. Since then, there have been three others. Now, police are reaching out to the public for help in tracking down this man they say is preying on young women.

In every attack, police say the man threatens his victim with a knife, forces her to a secluded area and then sexually assaults her.

The four young victims range in age from 15 to 23.

"This is really bad," resident Kim Muldrow said. "This is my first time hearing about this. Now, I really need to be cautious."

The four attacks happened within the 103rd and 113th precincts in Jamaica, Queens. In every case, the attacker strikes at night. Residents say they hope police capture this sexual predator before he strikes again.

"It's really sad that the community has come to this point where a man...would mistreat a young child," resident Mike Johnson said.

The disturbing pattern has been going on for almost two month. If you think you recognize the suspect, you are asked to call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS
