According to police, the car was traveling at a high rate of speed, when 16-year-old Brian Assa lost control.
The vehicle drifted across Woodbury road and smashed into the overpass of the Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway.
Both Assa and a second teen were wearing seatbelts.
The other victim was rushed to Nassau University Medical Center.
