Police: Teen shoots dog with pellet gun

YONKERS Officers say they found the dog in a backyard on Morningside Avenue, shot.

The dogs is listed in critical condition with damage to its spinal cord, liver and kidneys.

According the police, the investigation revealed that the dog was intentionally shot with a pellet gun from an area window.

Police arrested 17-year-old Kareem Roberts,of the Bronx.

He was charged with an A misdemeanor from the Agriculture and Markets Law for Aggravated Cruelty to Animals, as well as the unclassified misdemeanor of Possession of an Air Rifle.
