JetBlue cuts flights from Stewart Airport

NEW YORK An airline spokeswoman says its last flight from Stewart International Airport to West Palm Beach, Fla., will be Sept. 2. JetBlue says it will also drop one of its two daily flights to Orlando and one of its two flights to Fort Lauderdale on the same day.

The JetBlue spokeswoman told the Poughkeepsie Journal on Tuesday that the West Palm Beach route wasn't profitable.

JetBlue is the largest air carrier serving Stewart International Airport in New Windsor.

AirTran Airways has already said it will stop its service from Stewart as of Sept. 3 due to mounting costs. And Skybus Airlines ceased operations in April.
