Giants O-lineman charged with DWI

LITTLE FALLS, NJ Little Falls police spokesman Lt. Salvatore Calafiore says McKenzie was arrested at 9:09 p.m.

Calafiore says a Little Falls police officer observed McKenzie in his 2003 GMC cut through a Coastal Gas station parking lot at the corner of Route 23 and Main Street to avoid a red light.

He says the officer pulled him over and found that McKenzie's registration expired in March. The officer detected an odor of alcohol, administered a Breathalyzer test and found McKenzie was above the legal limit of .08, according to Calafiore.

McKenzie was charged with DWI, reckless driving, driving on private property to avoid a traffic signal and driving with an expired registration. In accordance with DWI laws, his truck was towed, and a sober friend picked him up from the police department.

That friend was former Giants running back Charles Way, who played for the Giants for five years.
