The man who towed his car says he watched him crawling around looking for any signs of his money The fire happened just a few block from Ruane's house in Wantagh luckily, he had just dropped his kids off at school. Ruane doesn't expect to get anything back. He knows he's at fault for cashing the check and carrying around the cash. He says he just seems to have luck on his side these days:bad luck. Now he's hoping for some good.
