Man accused of sex assault on girl at pool

THE BRONX 36-year-old Miguel Quiles was arrested at around 7 p.m. last night at the Van Cortlandt Pool, located inside the park at 242nd street and Broadway.

He was charged with forcible touching, sex abuse and endangering the welfare of a minor.

Quiles was charged with touching private areas of a 14-year-old while in the crowded pool.

He was accused of touching the breast and vagina areas of the victim while in the pool. He reportedly touched the girl through her clothes, and she came out of the pool crying.

The man got out of the pool and attempted to walk to the men's locker room. But police officers, who are assigned to the pool, caught the suspect.

Other pool goers told police they had seen the man at the pool many times before. And police said he has several prior arrests for sexually assaulting minors.
