The victims, identified only as four males and two females who range in age from 16 to 21, were being treated at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson for unspecified injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

The shootings occurred at about 3:30 a.m. in the area of Rosa Parks Boulevard and Putnam Street. It was not immediately clear how many shots were fired, and the gunman fled the scene a short time later.
