On the New York side, car traffic was being diverted to the Holland Tunnel or George Washington Bridge and only buses were allowed into the Lincoln Tunnel. The inbound lanes were slow with rubbernecking delays.
Officials say the overturned truck was uprighted and towed off the roadway around 2 p.m. The helix opened shortly thereafter.
