PATH suspension makes for morning mess

NEW JERSEY The entire system was spended due to signal problems that originated in Jersey City.

Riders who use the system, which serves 250,000 commuters daily, had been told to take New Jersey Transit from Secaucus or Hoboken instead. Even when service resumed, trains and New Jersey Transit buses were packed and delayed. Even though actual train delays were in the 15-minute range, the crowds made for a much longer wait.

PATH, run by the Port Authority, provides service to Jersey City, Hoboken, Harrison, and Newark from New York.
