Heart attack symptoms? Seek treatment quick!

NEW YORK

Researchers from the Mayo Clinic found that many people with chest discomfort, shortness of breath and other heart attack signs delay going to the hospital for hours.

The researchers say half of all heart attack deaths happen within one hour, but the average patient waits more than 2 1/2 hours to get to the hospital.

11% percent of patients in the study waited more than 12 hours.
