The fire broke out inside the home on Ontario Street just before 4 a.m.
Heavy flames shot out of the windows of the home.
Three residents were rushed to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
Their injuries were not considered life threatening.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
