$10,000-a-night prostitution ring busted in NYC

BROOKLYN

The /*Brooklyn*/ District Attorney's office on Wednesday announced the indictment of 17 people and five corporations for operating the high-priced prostitution and drug ring.

District Attorney /*Charles Hynes*/ says the defendants have been charged with running several websites that advertised escort services and with selling cocaine and other controlled substances.

He says the /*Sheepshead Bay*/-based ring brought in more than $2 million a year.

The DA's office says the defendants used a billing technique that concealed the nature of the purchases on clients' credit cards statements.
