It's a rough business walking in on your home being robbed.
"I asked him, 'What are you doing in my apartment?' So he says, 'I'm sorry,' and he just swung at me. When he swung at me I went down and I hit him here, and he tried to run and I grabbed him. So that's when he says, 'I'm going to shoot you,' and then I jumped and I held him down all the way down the stairs," Diaz said.
They made it all the way down to the first floor landing and they were still wrestling all the way to the front door, when the burglar tried to get through the door, but he was tackled again by Diaz and a neighbor next door heard the commotion.
"I saw my friend wrestling with the burglar, I go help my friend," Diaz's neighbor said.
The neighbor didn't want his picture shown, but he was sure there when Manny needed him.
Together they held the suspect down until appeared that he finally gave up.
"When we let him go, he went into his pocket and pulled out a wood chisel and he said that he was going to stab us," Diaz said.
"We slammed him, kept him on the floor until the cops came, and from there on the cops did their job," Diaz's neighbor said.
They arrested the suspect and now police are trying to figure out how many robberies he's responsible for.
