Court rules against Chelsea Hotel in tenant dispute

NEW YORK

The New York Daily News is reporting that a court has ordered the new owner of the Chelsea Hotel to clean up asbestos contamination.

A group of 34 permanent tenants sued the new owner, claiming renovations exposed hazardous materials.

Housing court ruled in favor of the tenant group, ordering the owner to comply with strict building-code regulations.
