The first burglary happened between Monday, February 6 and Saturday, February 11. The suspect entered an apartment through a balcony door at 119 East 64 Street, and took various watches.
Then between Sunday, February 19 and Tuesday, February 27, the suspect entered 21 East 62 Street, ransacked an apartment, but left without taking anything.
The third burglary happened between Sunday, February 19 and Thursday, February 23. The suspect entered an apartment inside 5 East 63 Street by way of a living room window accessible from the roof. He got away with a laptop computer and some jewelry.
On Friday, February 24 between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., the suspect pried open a roof-access door and entered the Antonio Tincati clothing store located at 20 East 63 Street. It's not known if any merchandise was taken.
The most recent burglary happened on Friday, March 30 between 7:40 p.m. and 9:20 p.m. The suspect entered an apartment at 241 East 60 Street by way of a skylight, and forced open an inside door to access the Carlos De La Puente Antiques store. He took a laptop, a camera, a leather bag and assorted jewelry.
The suspect is described as black man, between the ages of 25-30, with a large build, approximately 6'1" tall, and 180 lbs.
In at least one incident he was well-dressed, wearing a dark overcoat, dark suit and gloves.
