Acierno died in 2010, but the street, at the corner of Windrmere Road in Grasmere was renamed for him on May, 16th because of everything he gave to the community.
According to his family, Jonathan's motto was "It's not about disabilities but our abilities and what we do with them," said Jonathan who inspired others in his life and continues to inspire people in his death.
The family says they still receive letters from people around the world who Jonathan inspired.
