Sources tell Eyewitness News it all began as a hit-and-run crash in /*Brooklyn*/ just after 2:00 a.m.
The driver of one of the cars that was hit started chasing the reckless driver into /*Queens*/.
Several more cars were hit along the way.
Eventually the fleeing car crashed onto the sidewalk in the /*Woodhaven*/ section, ejecting the driver.
He died on the scene.
The other passengers were taken to Jamaica Hospital.
