The team was in danger of not being able to play in the first round of the Nassau County championship this weekend because all of their equipment and uniforms were destroyed by Hurricane Sandy.
Their locker room was flooded out.
People contacted us through our Eyewitness News Facebook page to tell us what was going on with the team.
The donation was made in large part by the Boomer Esiason Foundation.
"It's like a new season again everyone is rested and ready to go and all the free stuff makes it that much more exciting and everyone is excited to play," said James Forkin.
The players say the new equipment is even better then what they had before.
The players realize that the game on Saturday is more than about going onto the final four.
It's about representing a community and even their own families who are trying to rebuild.
"We're just going to play for our town for our city and we're going to try to come out on top," said Adam Salvadori.
