Police: Student throws bleach on another student

STAMFORD, Connecticut

It has been the main topic of conversation today, a brawl between two girls that ended up with three students being sent to the hospital and another under arrest.

It happened yesterday at WestHill High School in Stamford. Police and students say a long simmering feud between two female students boiled over.

The fight took place at 7:25, just before the start of first period. The two freshman girls began fighting in a stairwell near the gymnasium. After punches were thrown—police say one 14-year-old reached for a water bottle that she had brought from home, filled with bleach and splashed it the other girl.

There were no serious injuries. Police say one of the teens involved was recording video of the altercation on her cell phone which police have seized as evidence. In the meantime parents say they are shocked by the nature of the incident.
