Up Close: Joe Lhota

NEW YORK

But in December, moments after implementing a fare hike, Lhota quit his job as chairman of the MTA.

He's now running for New York City Mayor.

Lhota is a Bronx-born Republican, and served as former Mayor Rudy Giuliani's deputy mayor and budget director.

We'll ask him what a Lhota administration would be like.

We'll also talk with Bergen County prosecutor John Molinelli, whose office produced a training video for teachers and law enforcement officers, showing what to do if a gunman gets inside a school.

And Eyewitness News investigative reporter Jim Hoffer takes a look at the latest development in the NYPD's controversial stop and frisk program: a new device that may cut down the number of patdowns by showing police ahead of time just who has a gun.

Watch Up Close with Diana Williams every Sunday morning at 11:00 on Channel 7.
