Surveillance pictures show a man eating a banana inside a Citgo Gas Station in Newington.
The photos were taken after the man reportedly rammed a vehicle through the store's front entrance when it was closed early Wednesday morning.
Authorities say he took the banana off the shelf, peeled it, ate it and then left without taking anything else.
Officers responding to a burglary alarm found "extensive damage."
The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call police.
