Pit bulls shot after charging at cops in Queens

Two pit bulls were fatally shot by police executing a warrant at a Queens home Monday morning.

The dogs charged the officers as they executed an arrest warrant on 111th Avenue in Cambria Heights just after 6:30 a.m.

The officers fired their weapons in defense, police say, and the dogs were shot and killed.

The officers were not injured.

Three people were arrested as a result of this incident.

One of the suspect had a gun and is facing in charges in relation to that.
