CHICAGO -- Former supermodel Beverly Johnson spoke about how her alleged encounter with Bill Cosby inspired a chapter in her new book.
She spoke at a "Chicago Ideas Week" event downtown Wednesday night. Johnson claims the comedian once drugged her.
Initially, she was discouraged from putting that story in her book, "The Face That Changed It All", because of legal concerns.
But when women started coming forward with their encounters with Cosby, she realized her story had to be told.
"I sat there watching those women tell their stories and realized my story was similar to theirs and I knew they were telling the truth," Johnson said.
Cosby has denied the accusations against him and he's never been charged with a crime.
