BRONX, N.Y. (WABC) -- A woman was shot and killed in the Bronx Thursday afternoon.
The shooting happened just after 3 p.m. on Waring Avenue near Colden Avenue, which is in the Allerton section.
The NYPD said a 911 call came in that a woman in her 20s had been shot. She was rushed to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
A witness told Eyewitness News that the woman appeared to be an innocent bystander.
The location of the shooting is near two different schools - Public School 89 and Christopher Columbus High School.
No arrests have been made in the case, but police are looking for three people who fled the scene - two men and a woman.
