Elderly man in Bronx pushed down stairs in attempted robbery

CROTONA PARK EAST, Bronx (WABC) -- Police are looking for the man who pushed a 74-year-old man down the stairs and tried to rob him in the Bronx.



Around noon Thursday, the elderly man was in his building near Crotona Avenue and Claremont Parkway, when police said the robber followed the victim up the stairs, assaulted him and attempted to rob him.



The NYPD released surveillance video of the incident:




The victim sustained minor injuries, and was treated and released from Saint Barnabas Hospital.



The suspect is described as a black man, approximately 6 feet 3 inches tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a blue T-shirt, black shorts, black sneakers and a dark colored baseball cap.
