Man shot at Cheeques Lounge parking lot in Linden, police say

LINDEN, New Jersey (WABC) -- A man was shot in a Linden strip club parking lot early Saturday morning.

According to the Linden Police Department, an officer went to the Cheeques Lounge parking lot on Linden Avenue around 3 a.m. after hearing shots.

A 24-year-old Middlesex County man was standing in the parking lot across from the bar bleeding from a wound to the abdomen.

The man told the officer that he had been shot.

He was taken to University Hospital in Newark. He is stable.

Detectives responded to the scene and recovered several shell casings. The investigation is ongoing.
