Hugh Jackman's Wolverine joins Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool in Marvel Studios' highly-anticipated new movie. A trailer for "Deadpool & Wolverine" was released on Monday.

Here's what we know about the upcoming film set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

When can I watch it?

Reynolds is making his MCU debut as Wade Wilson/Deadpool and Jackman is reprising his role as Logan/Wolverine.

"Succession" alum Matthew Macfadyen is playing the role of Paradox, an agent with the Time Variance Authority.

The Shawn Levy directed film also stars Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams and Karan Soni.

Who's the new villain?

Also making her MCU debut is Emma Corwin from "The Crown."

Her character, Cassandra Nova, is an extremely powerful mutant and the twin sister of Charles Xavier, played by Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy in previous films.

In the trailer we see Wolverine's metal claws are no threat to Cassandra as she simply uses her powers to puppeteer him.

"Boys are so silly," she says.

How do these characters fit into the MCU?

In the trailer that debuted during the Super Bowl, we see Wade Wilson at his surprise birthday party that features unexpected guests. Those at the party include his fiancée girlfriend Vanessa Carlysle, X-Force teammate Peter, and X-men characters like Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead.

This seemingly normal life is interrupted by a dramatic meeting with Macfadyen. Turns out there are several timelines for the Deadpool character.

In the newly released trailer, we see Wade in a timeline where he meets his idol, but this version of Logan "let down the entire world," according to Macfaydyen's Paradox, and Logan can't live with the guilt.

Deadpool tries to motivate Logan to jump into his world to save it, but that comes after much fighting between the would-be allies.

"I don't know anything about saving worlds, but you do," Wade implores, as Madonna's "Like A Prayer" begins. Logan says he's no hero, to which Wade replies, "You were an X-Man. You were the X-Man."
