SYCAMORE TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- An attempted robbery in Ohio was foiled after a faulty elevator stopped the suspects in their tracks.

Surveillance video shows a man and woman using tools to break in to a jewelry store in Sycamore Township.

Police say the pair allegedly tried to steal $86,000 worth of diamond rings. The two tried to escape by taking an elevator, but there was a mechanical problem and it got stuck.

They were rescued by firefighters before they were arrested.
