LACEY TOWNSHIP, N.J -- Authorities have determined an elderly Ocean County woman apparently died of injuries sustained when she fell in her home that she shared with her barely alive husband.

Ocean County prosecutors say an autopsy revealed 91-year-old Ruth Jacobs sustained a head injury and a fractured hip and her death was an accident.

Jacobs and her 96-year-old husband, Arnold, were found Saturday in their Lacey Township home after concerned relatives had not been able to contact them.

Her husband was found semiconscious on the garage floor. He remains hospitalized in stable condition.

Authorities said Arnold Jacobs was unable to provide details due to his medical condition.
