CONEY ISLAND (WABC) -- Beginning Saturday, thrill-seekers can head to Luna Park to ride Coney Island's first new roller coaster in 90 years.
The "Thunderbolt" is 115 feet high at its highest point, and goes as fast as 55 miles per hour.
It is also the first roller coaster at Coney Island to send riders upside-down in a vertical loop.
The roller coaster was built on the site of the original thunderbolt, which opened in 1925, and was demolished in 2000.
