LOWER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run on the FDR Drive Friday.
The 29-year-old man was walking in the northbound lanes near East 29th Street just after 1 a.m. when he was injured.
He sustained head trauma and was pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital.
Police are looking for a dark gray, four-door sedan they said hit the man.
Northbound lanes of the highway were closed for the investigation.
It was not clear why the man was on the highway.
