Teenage girl in Washington Heights touched inappropriately, police say

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, New York (WABC) -- Police are looking for a man who they say grabbed a teenage girl in Washington Heights this week.

Around 7:40 a.m. Wednesday, a man went up to a 13-year-old girl near West 172nd Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue. According to the New York City Police Department, he grabbed her in the genital area over her clothing.

The man then fled, police said.

The suspect is described as wearing a black jacket, black and white baseball hat, brightly colored sneakers, and is believed to be in his 50s.
