HUNTINGTON (WABC) -- Police have released new details and are now offering a reward in connection with the shooting of a Long Island businessman.

Authorities released new surveillance photos of the SUV they say was used by the gunman who shot Gary Melius in February.

Melius is the owner of the luxury Oheka Castle hotel who survived being shot in the head in the parking lot.

Police say a masked suspect shot Melius and then drove away in a four-door Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Melius owns the lavish, 127-room mansion, which has been used as a hotel and event hall and as a backdrop for movies and photo shoots.

He is still recovering.

Police are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest. They ask people with information about the shooting to call 1-800-220-TIPS.
