BRIDGEHAMPTON, New York (WABC) -- A group of sharks show they are not afraid to teach schools of fish a lesson for loitering on the open sea.
Just off the Hamptons on Long Island, a mass of menhaden and bunker fish gathered, only to be mercilessly devoured by a pack of sharks.
Aerial footage, taken by Tovi Sonnenberg, shows the incoming predators make swift work of their prey by swimming through the massive school of fish and taking a chunk out of the swarm.
While the school of fish has also lured whales and dolphins to the area, it's clear that the sharks were the main attraction.
