36-year-old man fatally struck by car in Hauppauge

HAUPPAUGE (WABC) -- Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian in Hauppauge Sunday night.

Christopher Noselli was walking in the eastbound lanes of Veterans Memorial Highway near Old Townline Road when he was struck by a 2006 Nissan Murano that was traveling eastbound on Veterans Memorial Highway at approximately 9:20 p.m.

Noselli, 36, was transported via Commack Rescue to St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center in Smithtown, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Nissan Murano, Laura Escobar, 25, of Smithtown, was not injured.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing.
