2 dead in Christmas Eve car wreck on Long Island

Two people were killed in a single car wreck Christmas Eve morning on Woodbury Road.

HICKSVILLE, Long Island (WABC) -- Two people were killed Saturday morning in a fiery crash in Hicksville.

According to the Nassau County Police Department, a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling east on Woodbury Road around 6 a.m. when the driver last control.

The Jeep struck a tree and caught fire.

Two people were in the car at the time and were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not yet been released.

The crash is under investigation.
