JERSEY CITY, New Jersey (WABC) -- Crews rescued a worker from the roof of a temple in Jersey City Wednesday afternoon.
The worker had become injured during construction that was taking place on the roof of Temple Beth-El at John F. Kennedy Boulevard and Harrison Avenue.
The Jersey City Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene and had to perform a high-angle rescue.
The worker was immobilized, and crews used a rope to lower him down from the roof.
Medical personnel were waiting on the ground to assist him when he was brought down.
