Patient in NJ being monitored for Lassa fever

NEW JERSEY (WABC) -- A patient in New Jersey is being monitored for Lassa fever.



Sources tell Eyewitness News the patient at Hackensack University Medical Center came in contact with a person who died from the disease.



Lassa fever is associated with the Ebola virus but is far less deadly.
