Meteorologist Lee Goldberg is tracking strong storms that have led to torrential rain across parts of the Tri-State area.


NEW YORK (WABC) -- Showers and thunderstorms brought heavy rain, flash flood and tornado warnings to New York City, Long Island and other parts of the Tri-State area on Thursday evening.
A Flood Watch remains in effect for much of the Tri-State area, including New York City, and a Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for parts of New Jersey until 10:00 p.m.

A Flash Flood Warning has been issued for the Bronx, Queens and Brooklyn in New York City, and Nassau County on Long Island.


A Tornado Warning issued for Nassau County was allowed to expire Thursday evening.
