NEW YORK (WABC) -- Showers and thunderstorms brought heavy rain, flash flood and tornado warnings to New York City, Long Island and other parts of the Tri-State area on Thursday evening.

A Flood Watch remains in effect for much of the Tri-State area, including New York City, and a Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for parts of New Jersey until 10:00 p.m.
