Nassau police looking for driver in Lynbrook hit-and-run that killed 84-year-old man

LYNBROOK, N.Y. -- Police on Long Island are looking for the driver that left the scene of a fatal accident earlier this month.

Nassau County police say an 84-year-old pedestrian was killed at around 9 p.m. on Dec. 3 on Merrick Road and Hilton Street in Lynbrook.

They say a car traveling eastbound on Merrick Road took off after striking the victim.

Police describe the car as either a Ford or Lincoln Mercury.

They are seeking the public's help in finding the suspect.
