Police: Long Island man stabbed mother to death

CENTER MORICHES, Long Island (WABC) -- A man on Long Island is accused of stabbing his mother to death.

26-year-old Christopher Harrison is now behind bars and is set to be arraigned on Sunday.

Suffolk County Police say he stabbed his mother, Joyce Skarka during a dispute at their home in Center Moriches.

The 53-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
