Woman hospitalized after being run over by dump truck on Lower East Side

LOWER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) -- A 50-year-old woman is waking up in the hospital after being run over by a private sanitation truck while riding her bike on the Lower East Side.

The woman was hit on Ridge Street late Wednesday night. She was taken to Bellevue Hospital where she is in serious, but stable condition.

The truck driver was charged with driving with a suspended license.
