NEW YORK (WABC) -- Subway service returned to normal in Brooklyn Wednesday night after being disrupted earlier due to several Con Ed manhole fires.

Because of the fires at Bergen Street, there was no service on the F between Jay St and 4 Ave and no service on the G between Bedford-Nostrand and Church Avenue during rush hour.

Service on the F and G lines has resumed with residual delays.

New York City Transit has brought in generators and made temporary repairs to equipment damaged as a result of the ongoing Con Ed power issues.
