Missing-adult alert for 93-year-old man with dementia is canceled

MINEOLA, NY (WABC) -- A missing vulnerable adult alert has been canceled for Anthony Fata, 93, of Mineola.

Fata suffers from dementia, and the original alert said he may have needed medical attention and be en route to New York City. Fata had last been seen Friday at 1:30 p.m.

He was found after he was involved in a minor car accident. He is doing OK now.

No further information was available about Fata and the cancellation.
